Paddy Pimblett has torn into a social media user who continues to claim new fights for his return to the octagon.
The fan favorite appears to be set to make his comeback at UFC London in March, likely fighting up the rankings again as he continues moving towards the top 10 at lightweight. He has declared that a deal is done, and used Michael Chandler’s catchphrase to tease fans.
However, there have been a number of other rivals suggested for his eventual return, including Benoit St-Denis and others in the top ten. An official announcement has yet to be made, despite all of the rumors on social media.

Paddy Pimblett confirms UFC comeback plan with cheeky reference
In a recent upload to his YouTube channel, Paddy Pimblett dropped an easter egg after confirming that he has agreed to an opponent for his return to action. He earned his spot in the rankings with a win over King Green at UFC 304 in Manchester, but has been out of action since.
“People have been speculating about who I’m fighting, this and that,” he told the cameras. “I’m coming for that belt so I’m looking for higher-ranked fighters. I’m sure you’ll see a fight announcement soon enough.
“I’ve said yeah, the opponent said yeah, just need to get stuff signed. So you’s know the score everyone… And I’ll see you at the top!”
Michael Chandler famously uses the catchphrase ‘see you at the top,’ and just those five words drove viewers wild in the comment section. Speculation began, but then other social media users claimed he may have a different name.
Paddy Pimblett hits back at social media user who made three fake fight announcements
One user who MMA fans will be familiar with is Rueben Carter, who uses the username realruebenking. He regularly posts speculative fight news, but insists that it is signed, sealed and delivered only to be debunked.
He has on three occasions ‘broken news’ of Pimblett’s UFC London opponent, claiming him to be facing Chandler, St-Denis and Mateusz Gamrot. Eventually, this made it’s way to ‘The Baddy’ who ripped into him in a post on X.
“Don't know why people even take notice of this absolute helmet running this page,” Pimblett wrote in a tweet that was viewed almost half-a-million times in about 24 hours. “He hasn't got a clue what he's talking about.”
It is unclear if the Carter account is a troll or not, but his response to the post seems to indicate that he is, taking aim at the UFC star’s political beliefs.
