Frank Warren offers Tyson Fury a new job after he makes shock boxing retirement

Less than a month after suffering a second defeat to Oleksandr Usyk, British boxing icon Tyson 'The Gypsy King' Fury has announced his retirement from boxing.
Whilst many boxing fans are skeptical as to whether his retirement is legitimate, promoter Frank Warren believes that this is really the end of the road.
However, that doesn't mean that Tyson Fury is done being involved with boxing in general, as Warren is open to getting 'The Gypsy King' a new role at Queensbury Promotions.
Frank Warren proposes new job to Tyson Fury after retirement
Taking to social media yesterday afternoon, Tyson Fury announced his retirement from boxing in a 'short and sweet' video in which he stated: "It's been a blast; I've loved every single minute of it.
"I'm going to end with this; Dick Turpin wore a mask. God bless everybody, see you on the other side – Get up!"
While promoter Frank Warren believes that Fury is genuine regarding his retirement, that doesn't mean that the heavyweight will be removed from the sport entirely.
“I’d have no problem with him getting involved with us [at Queensbury Promotions], we’d have a good run together,” Warren told Sky Sports.
“He’s got a great brain and he’s very astute… I hope it’s not [goodbye] because he’s got a lot to give boxing outside the ring."
"My take on it is that he is retired," Warren reaffirmed to TalkSport, admitting that whilst he didn't see the exit coming, Fury deserves to call it quits on his terms after all he's achieved in the ring.
"He’s retired, I’m not going to ring him and try to debate with him… We are going to miss him; boxing is going to miss him.
“I’ve got to be honest I didn’t know what he was going to do but as I said at the start of this, no matter what he wants to do, I am with him 100 per cent.”
Contrary to Warren's claims, speculation is rife that this is simply Fury's latest negotiating tactic to generate more money for the long-awaited 'Battle of Britain' against Anthony Joshua.
"Negotiating tactic? What for? He’s the A side of the card?" countered the Queensbury boss.
"His two fights with Usyk were close fights [whereas] AJ’s last fight he got poleaxed by Daniel Dubois. What are you talking about? AJ needs him.”
Eddie Hearn believes Tyson Fury won't stay retired for long
Whilst the wider boxing community might have been taken aback by Fury's retirement, Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn told IFL TV that he "saw that coming, yeah, I saw that coming.
“If you ever want to come back and get the max, you have to retire first, haven't you? Someone then has to bring you out of retirement… If that's the last [that] we see of Tyson Fury, then good luck to him… I doubt it personally but whatever he chooses to do, much respect to him."
Hearn predicted that it won't be long before 'The Gypsy King' reveals his intention to return, especially with such intense demand for the super-fight between Fury and Joshua.
“I think he'll want to fight again, I think he will get bored, and he will know the British public want to see the AJ fight… My personal belief is we'll see him in the ring again [but] if not, then good luck to the man.”
“AJ wants that fight, [but] maybe Fury hasn't got it in him anymore and hasn't got the heart for it," questioned Hearn, adding "If he hasn't then he should retire.”
