It was a good night for Wales and new women’s world champion Lauren Price from Wales.
Price beat a brave Natasha Jonas on points showing her class to become the WBC, IBF and WBA welterweight women’s world champion.

Big things ahead for Lauren Price, a new star in women’s boxing has been born.
Respect to both women and to Natasha Jonas who showed a lot of grit and heart to comeback at that point in her life into such an unforgiving, gruelling sport as professional boxing — prize fighting and the hurt business.
If it is the end for Jonas as an active pro boxer she will be successful in whatever she chooses to do but that is up to her — great career and can carry on still if she wishes.
It was all about Price though on the night.
