NWA Powerrr Sets Down Roots In Tampa, Red Velvet Unveils Custom ROH Women's TV Title

NWA Powerrr has found a permanent home in Tampa, Florida, at a WEDU-PBS studio.

The Tampa Bay Times is reporting that the WEDU studio will host the NWA's weekly series, with upcoming episodes scheduled to be filmed on October 5 and 6.

NWA Powerrr tapings took place at the WEDU studio in February 2023 and then again in January and April of this year.

President and CEO of WEDU PBS, Paul Grove, said, "We are excited to welcome the NWA to produce 'NWA Powerrr' and host in-person matches at our state-of-the-art production studios. The NWA team has been incredibly professional, and it's been a pleasure to support Tampa's vibrant wrestling community."

NWA spokesperson Paul Pratt said, "WEDU was appealing to us because of Tampa's long and storied history with wrestling. The National Wrestling Alliance leans so heavily into its extremely powerful and storied history. Tampa really represents a huge part of that for us."

After the tapings, which will comprise 12 episodes of Powerrr, the NWA plans to feature footage from larger venues that will be integrated with the WEDU tapings. The NWA will return to the studio next year for their next set of tapings.

Red Velvet unveiled a custom red ROH Women's TV Championship on Thursday’s episode of ROH TV. Before this week's show, the title had its typical black strap.
