All Elite Wrestling’s Shelton Benjamin compares The Hurt Syndicate to Earth’s mightiest heroes.

Shelton Benjamin was a recent guest on AEW Unrestricted. When asked about the best way to describe the members of The Hurt Syndicate, Benjamin compared the trio to Marvel’s supergroup The Avengers.

“I guess the best way I would describe us that would make sense to people if you’re watching the Avengers, MVP is clearly Tony Stark,” Shelton Benjamin said. “I would like to say I’m somewhere between Thor and Captain America, but Bobby is clearly The Hulk. That is the dynamic.”

When Bobby Lashley‘s calm demeanor backstage was brought up drawing comparisons to The Hulk’s alter ego Bruce Banner, Benjamin agreed with that assessment.

“Yeah, Bobby is 100% Bruce Banner backstage,” Shelton Benjamin said. “He’s extremely intelligent. Both of them are extremely intelligent, extremely humble. And just like the Hulk, he just wants to be left alone to do his work, and he wants to do it in the smartest, most efficient way there is. MVP, it’s either right or it’s wrong, there’s no in-between. And I almost see myself as, sometimes, leaning one way or the other. It really depends on your situation so I like to think I’m the most reasonable.”
