Athena Is Now The Longest-Reigning ROH Champion In History

ROH Women’s World Champion Athena continues to make history as she is now the longest-reigning champion in the promotion’s history.

Today, Athena reached 646 days as ROH Women’s World Champion, surpassing the 645-day reign of Samoa Joe as ROH World Champion from 2003 to 2005.

Athena won the title at ROH Final Battle in December 2022. Her reign has lasted longer than all other former Women’s Champions combined.

On Twitter, ROH gave kudos to the history-making champion.

Athena’s most recent title defense came at ROH Death Before Dishonor 2024 and saw the Fallen Goddess retain against Queen Aminata.

The ROH Women’s World Title was created in 2022 with Rok-C (now WWE NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez) being the first champion.
