The 2025 Lithuanian Swimming Championships begin tomorrow, Thursday, April 3rd and span through Sunday, April 6th from the city of Vilnius.
Over 300 athletes are expected to compete, ranging from up-and-comers to established stars.
Danas Rapsys, Kotryna Teterevkova, Andrius Sidlauskas and Ruta Meilutyte are among the contenders. They’ll be joined by teenaged national age group record holders Tajus Juska, Dziugas Miskinis and Smilte Plytnykaite, the latter of whom has committed to the University of Virginia for the fall of 2026.
Saulius Binevičius , president of the LTU Aquatics association, said of this World Championships qualifying affair, “We haven’t had a Lithuanian championship of this level for more than ten years. Seeing our brightest swimming stars compete in our homeland is a dream for many members of our community. This will not only be a sports celebration, but also an opportunity for our swimmers to meet the standards of international competitions, including tickets to the World Championships in Singapore.
The competition will be shown on LRT Plius television and on the LRT.LT portal.
