2025 Pro Swim Series — Sacramento

A few key names have scratched out of the first preliminary session of the 2025 Pro Swim Series this morning in Sacramento, including two-time Australian Olympic medalist Tommy Neill.

Neill, 22, was the #2 seed in the men’s 200 free and the top-ranked swimmer in the 400 IM, but has dropped both races this morning.

Frenchwomen Mary-Ambre Moluh and Lilou Ressencourt, who are fresh off representing Cal at the Women’s NCAA Championships less than two weeks ago, have also dropped their events this morning, with Moluh opting out of the women’s 50 back as the 4th seed and Ressencourt dropping both the 100 fly (#3 seed) and 200 free (#19 seed).

Luca Urlando, who had a record-setting swim at Men’s NCAAs just five days ago, has scratched the men’s 200 free today but holds his entries in the 50 back and 100 fly.

Other top-eight scratches this morning come from Jack Dolan (#2) and Youssef Ramadan (#4) in the men’s 50 back, while two notable names missing from multiple events are age group phenom Shareef Elaydi, who has dropped the men’s 100 breast (#15) and 100 fly (#11), and Adelyn Burns, who is out of the women’s 200 free (#16) and 100 breast (#12).
