Michael Bisping includes Conor McGregor in UFC Mount Rushmore, with surprising picks thrown in the mix

Despite the bad blood, Michael Bisping has named Conor McGregor in his UFC Mount Rushmore, alongside some of the pioneers who made the sport of MMA what it is today.

Since retiring from competition, ‘The Count’ has solidified his place as one of the greatest analysts in the game.

Michael Bisping puts Conor McGregor in his UFC Mount Rushmore

The conversation around who deserves to be on a mythical UFC Mount Rushmore, often circles back to names like Jon Jones and Anderson Silva.

However, having studied MMA right from its inception, Michael Bisping went in a completely different direction.

During a video on his YouTube channel, Bisping first named the winner of the UFC 1,2 and 4 tournaments, Royce Gracie, who dominated the sport with his sublime Brazilian jiu-jitsu skills.

Secondly, the former middleweight champion opted for Fedor Emelianenko. The Russian superstar demolished his opponents in PRIDE, cementing his status as possibly the greatest fighter to have never competed in the UFC.

Bisping then threw Ronda Rousey in the mix, due to the American’s sensational arm bar finishes, as well as giving women a chance to showcase their skills on the grandest stage of them all.

He then concluded by dismissing their past arguments and giving Conor McGregor credit for all he has achieved.

The Brit said: “Let’s remember, the sport’s only 30 years old. Let’s look at this in 100 years’ time from now. Who will be the name that really stands out?

“You can’t deny the impact McGregor has had on the sport, and then bringing it to the next level. I’m the last person to sit here and fluff him up, but you can’t deny that.”

Michael Bisping defends Conor McGregor against Jake Paul

While McGregor and Bisping have often fired shots at one another in the media, the Englishman featuring ‘The Notorious’ in his Mount Rushmore isn’t the only gesture of goodwill he’s shown him lately.

After beating Mike Perry in a boxing bout, Jake Paul called out the Irishman for a blockbuster showdown.

However, Bisping wasn’t having any of it.

The Clitheroe-born fighter flew off the handle, taking aim at the YouTuber in a brutal rant.
