Following his victory over Kyle Fletcher in their steel cage match at AEW Revolution 2025, Will Ospreay cut a promo on AEW Dynamite about how he’s looking at what’s next for his career.

After talking about how he’s upset his wife by jumping off the cage, he wants to be “the guy” for AEW, but he understands that there are already some other people at the front of the line before him. After all, Cope has his Street Fight against Jon Moxley next week, and Swerve Strickland has a title shot lined up for AEW Dynasty.

Ospreay has given himself a goal and decided to announce that he’s entering the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. By winning the Owen Hart Cup, he’s going to main event AEW All In: Texas, and finally become the world champion.

So far, no one else has been announced for the tournament, nor any other information about when that is going to start.

Interestingly, there are still plenty dates between Dynasty and All In where Ospreay could get a title shot, including AEW Double or Nothing on May 25th. Why wait until July? The true answer is most likely just “Tony Khan knows that’s the bigger event and Double or Nothing doesn’t matter as much as it used to”, but there’s no kayfabe reasoning yet. Let’s see if AEW decides to try to explain that.

Do you think Will Ospreay will go on to win the Owen Hart Cup and the world title, or will something else stand in his way?  Drop your predictions in the comments below!
