The Bloodline made a surprise appearance on the September 10th episode of WWE NXT TV, attacking The Street Profits during their NXT Tag Team Titles match against Nathan Frazer and Axiom.

On Monday, WWE announced that The Street Profits would step in for The Rascalz, as Trey Miguel underwent an unexpected minor surgery on Sunday and had to withdraw from the match.

Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu disrupted both teams during Tuesday night’s match, resulting in a no-contest.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that WWE had The Bloodline appear because they didn’t want The Street Profits to lose and had no intention of Fraxiom dropping the titles.

The report states, "The decision to have the three be involved in the finish was made when the decision was made to put the Street Profits in the match. There had been talk of having the three do a run-in on NXT even before Miguel & Wentz pulled out, but it wasn't finalized until they needed a way to get out of the finish there."

The report also mentions that WWE aims to publicize the concept that any main roster Superstar can appear on NXT before the show moves to the CW Network.
