AEW is getting bitten by the injury bug again as we head into Dynasty this weekend.

Last night on AEW Dynamite, it was announced that Jay White had been attacked by the Death Riders before the show. As a result, he needed to be removed from the Owen Hart Cup. Following that announcement, it was reported that White had suffered an injury that would require surgery. To make matters worse, a new report has shed light on another injury to a top star of the company.

According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), former International Champion Orange Cassidy is also sidelined with an injury. The injury also sounds to be a serious one, as early indication from the company believes he could have torn his pectoral muscle.

Sapp has yet to hear about a timetable for Cassidy’s return or plans for surgery. If Cassidy has surgery on a torn pectoral muscle, he could miss anywhere between six months to a year of in-ring action.

Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more on Orange Cassidy’s injury as it becomes available.
