Zhao Xintong compiled the first 147 break in Q Tour history in the third event of the 2024/25 WPBSA Q Tour Europe series at Snookerhallen in Stockholm, Sweden.
The moment of snooker perfection came in the fifth frame of Zhao’s last 64 round tie against 14-year-old Shaun Liu to complete a 4-1 victory that also saw two other half-centuries from the former UK champion.
Zhao’s achievement marks a historic moment in the history of the WPBSA Q Tour as the 27-year-old from China becomes the first player to achieve a maximum break since it began in 2021.
Having dropped just a single frame in three matches so far in the event, Zhao will next face Luke Pinches in the last 32 later today (Saturday) with a place in the final day at stake.
The champion will be crowned on Sunday evening and you can follow the event via WPBSA SnookerScores.
