Maycee Barber's absence left everyone scrambling for answers.

"The Future" was scheduled to fight Erin Blanchfield in Saturday's UFC Vegas 107 main event, but the APEX sat in silence when the time came for the final fight of the evening. It fell to cageside commentators Brendan Fitzgerald, Daniel Cormier, and Laura Sanko to break the news that Barber would not be competing, leaving a bewildered Blanchfield in her locker room wondering what just happened.

Details are scarce at the moment as to why Barber withdrew at the last second. This was to be Barber's first fight since March 9, 2024, a span of almost 450 days, and she looked to put on a performance against Blanchfield that would put her medical issues in the past. It's unclear if those same issues came back to haunt Barber on Saturday, but regardless, this is another missed opportunity for her.
