There isn’t much higher praise in MMA than that of Khabib Nurmagomedov. ‘The Eagle’ believes his 9-0 teammate is one to watch after an impressive finish in UAE Warriors.
Nurmagomedov retired at 29-0, beating Justin Gaethje at UFC 254. Since then, he’s mentored talented fighters into UFC greatness, including Umar Nurmagomedov, UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev, and Bellator-PFL champion Usman Nurmagomedov.
There might be another prospect to watch now, as Nurmagomedov fans the flames of another fighter rising from their team in Russia.

Khabib Nurmagomedov gives high praise to 9-0 Amru Magomedov
According to Nurmagomedov, the latest talent from ‘Club Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov’s School’ is undefeated prospect Amru Magomedov. The 25-year-old Russian fighter starred in the main event of UAE Warriors 58 on February 22, defeating MMA veteran Alex da Silva by first-round knockout.
Magomedov rocked Silva with a right hand before crushing his liver with a step-in left roundhouse kick for the body shot finish.
Taking to Instagram following the finish, Nurmagomedov shared Magomedov’s clip with the caption, “REMEMBER THAT GUY.”
Manager Ali Abdelaziz also shared the sentiment, remarking, “Mark my words. This kid will be UFC champion. One of the best strikers in MMA today.”
