'Triple See' Transported To Hospital After UFC Seattle

02/23/2025 06:00 AM
UFC Seattle delivered a lot of violence last night (Sat., Feb. 22, 2025), live on ESPN+ from inside Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington, but surprisingly, only one fighter was sent to the local hospital.
But it was a noteworthy fighter.
Company officials confirmed with MMAmania.com that former two-division Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion Henry Cejudo was transported straight to the hospital after his main event loss toSong Yadong for an eye evaluation.
Big drama in Seattle.

Henry Cejudo couldn't see after that eye poke.
The fight could have been stopped right there and have been called a no contest.
The referee started the 4th round for one second in order for it to be considered a scoreable fight.

In the third round, Cejudo (16-5) had his eye poked pretty badly and took the entire five minutes to try to continue. He did continue, but after the round ended, he told the referee and his coaches that he "could not f—king see" and that Song was "blurry."
The fight was halted when the referee heard that he couldn't see properly.
"Triple C" is now riding a three-fight losing streak with losses to Aljamain Sterling, Merab Dvalishvili, and Song and has not won a fight since coming out of retirement.
It is unknown if Cejudo will retire again or if he will try to drop back down to Flyweight like he has teased this past year.
