Demetrious Johnson retired because he no longer found MMA enjoyable. Johnson announced his retirement at ONE Championship 168, bringing an end to a glittering career. He secured the UFC Flyweight Belt in 2012, beating Joseph Benavidez at UFC 152 via a split decision. He defended the title 11 times until 2017. He then found himself in ONE Championship where he won a flyweight belt.
