Fighters are always going to disagree with each other when bold statements are thrown out there.

For Bobby Green, the UFC lightweight has always called it how he sees it and this was the case during a recent podcast appearance.

Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson’s JAXXON podcast has become a regular destination for several high profile names in the sport.

Two regular guests on the show are former UFC champions Luke Rockhold and TJ Dillashaw who have certainly had their fair share of high profile beefs in the past.

Both men, among others, have said some controversial things in recent times when scrutinizing active fighters on the UFC’s roster via the podcast.

Bobby Green addresses recent TJ Dillashaw and Luke Rockhold controversies face-to-face

During their recent UFC 312 recap podcast, Bobby Green wanted to get something off his chest in regards to the way that TJ Dillashaw and Luke Rockhold talk about other fighters.

Dillashaw in particular has made headlines in recent times after scrutinizing the ability and heart of Anthony Smith and Kevin Holland, claiming that they don’t have what it takes to be a UFC champion.

This then led to tension between Smith and ‘Rampage’ which Green looked to address by calling the former champions out for their recent controversies.

“What I want to say is like energy is transferred. When we say certain s— like that, you got a point and everything you said was right, but at the same time, the energy you said is just transferred. You guys sound like bitter old men and y’all were f—— champs! Y’all sound like bitter old men! Like you guys didn’t get the shine and s—.”

Green went on to defend Anthony Smith further by talking about how the amount of fights that he has had and potential factors that could be at play behind the scenes make it hard to judge someone’s heart.

Whilst Dillashaw and Rockhold both said that they aren’t going to hold their tongue when it comes to giving their opinions, there was a mutual respect after everyone said their piece.

“You guys look crazy. Y’all look like y’all yelling at these young bucks like you’re the old men and you’re like, ‘F— these young bucks’.”

Bobby Green was the “voice of reason”

Bobby Green was referred to as the “voice of reason” during this discussion and he’s the perfect fighter to put his point across honestly without it becoming confrontational.

Whilst a lot of the fans of the podcast don’t want the likes of Rockhold and Dillashaw to tone down what they do, it’s easy to see why a fellow fighter like Green would see it as disrespectful to say on a podcast whether what they’re saying is true or not.

Both of the former UFC champions were controversial personalities during their time in the UFC and that hasn’t changed since.

Fans and fellow fighters shouldn’t always expect them to be complimentary of their fellow athletes even after Green addressed the constant clashes that have happened in recent times.
