Hideki Matsuyama's Srixon Z-Star balls on sale date confirmed

Dunlop is set to launch the exact ball used by Hideki Matsuyama in his astonishing win with 35-under par at The Sentry.
The Japanese star’s record-breaking 72-hole PGA Tour performance was completed with the all-new Dunlop Srixon Z-Star XV golf ball and it will go on sale on 24 January for golfers who want to replicate Matsuyama's stunning 11th PGA win.
Matsuyama's feat saw him in the top three in strokes gained approach, scrambling and putting. On the Sentry's complex course he hit 87% of greens in regulation during the tournament, eventually finishing three ahead of Collin Morikawa to take the win.
The Srixon Z-Star series of balls will go on sale on 24 January 2025 priced here. They will be sold in Pure White and Tour Yellow including the Diamond version for the first time.
The balls will be priced at $49.99 in the US (£39.99 in the UK).
The standard Z-Star ball features reduced compression at the center of its already soft core, minimizes driver spin for increased distance, softer feel, and enhanced greenside spin. The Diamond versions have a firmer core for more distance off the tee.
The range also includes the Divide versions, which feature a bright yellow stripe to aid with tracking the ball in the air and gauge the spin of the ball with the wedge.
The new Z-Star ball, as used by Matsuyama, has a special Spin Skin+ coating. This thin layer of specialized urethane increases the cover's friction, resulting in enhanced approach shots and greenside spin.
It uses a stronger urethane paint to reduce damage from dirt and gravel on the ball and deliver truer movement.
Matsuyama has used the balls for all three of his tour victories in the past 12 months. He also used Srixon drivers and irons on the tour. You can buy the balls here.
