À 157 jours de la cérémonie d'ouverture des JO de Paris 2024, la Russie a fait savoir qu'elle estimait pouvoir envoyer une centaine d'athlètes « neutres ». Ce que l'Ukraine conteste, alertant le CIO sur le statut des sportifs concernés.
