Since Vince McMahon was forced out and Triple H took over creative control of WWE, the promotion has been doing its best business ever. Attendance and ratings are up, storylines are more exciting, and the company landed a historic deal with Netflix. However, the last several months have been an odd time for WWE. Those exciting storylines have started to fall away, and the lead up to WrestleMania 41 hasn't been as compelling as the last few years. On top of that, when WWE should be promoting the Show of Shows, they've had a few missteps with the media. Nick Khan recently called the company an "underdog" while taking shots at AEW, Triple H insulted fans who are critical of the product online, and both The Game and the Tribal Chief himself, Roman Reigns, have praised the very controversial President of the United States, Donald Trump. The constant praise for Trump has already taken over the UFC, but if WWE does the same, it won't go well.
