Neil Magny pulled off another comeback submission win, but this one comes with a bit of controversy.

Magny faced Jake Matthews in a welterweight main card matchup at UFC Perth on Saturday, which took place at RAC Arena.

In the opening round, Matthews had Magny in a tight guillotine in the closing seconds. As the horn was about to sound, the referee reacted to Magny's arm looking a little bit limp and appeared to stop the fight. After the round ended, Magny immediately rose to his feet to dispute the possible stoppage, and the referee allowed the fight to continue.

After losing the second round, Magny needed a finish. The wily veteran waited for his moment and then pounced on a D'Arce choke, and got the tap with less then two minutes left in the bout. The victory extended Magny's record for most welterweight wins in UFC history to 24.
