Diego Lopes took his loss to Alexander Volkanovski pretty hard.

This past weekend, Lopes squared off with Volkanovski for the vacant featherweight title in the main event of UFC 314. Though Lopes had some moments, Volkanovski showed the incredible skill that made him one of the longest-tenured featherweight champions of all time, and earned a clear-cut unanimous decision win to reclaim the title. It was a heartbreaking loss for Lopes, and now we know just how much it meant to him.

On Wednesday, Iridium Sports Agency, who represents Lopes, released a video compilation of behind the scenes footage with Lopes before and after UFC 314. In the pre-fight footage, Lopes and his team are in great spirits, dancing and joking around before the fight; however, the vibes shift dramatically for the post-fight footage, revealing just how heartbroken Lopes was at falling short against Volkanovski, with Lopes openly sobbing in the backstage locker room as his team consoles him.

After some time, Lopes gets himself together and thanks his team, saying he felt he could have done more but that he just fell short, and promising to come back.
