Kyle Snyder was respectful towards Columbus Police following his arrest on May 9 during a prostitution sting in Columbus, Ohio, that ended with the Olympic gold medalist being placed in handcuffs.
Bodycam footage obtained by 10TV shows Snyder being detained by police after an undercover operation was set up with an online escort ad that led to a total of 16 people being arrested. Snyder was detained and released at the scene after being charged with engaging in prostitution with his next court date scheduled for May 19.
The three-time Olympic wrestler was not wearing pants during the arrest, which forced officers to put shorts back on him while saying they wouldn't force him to endure the "walk of shame" down the hotel hallway at a local Quality Inn and Suites where the sting operation took place.
A police report obtained by MMA Fighting showed that Snyder was arrested and police took $160 in cash from him as evidence after he offered money to an undercover officer in exchange for oral sex.
During the arrest, Snyder provided his personal information to officers and reportedly asked what would happen if he pleaded guilty to the charges. Police told Snyder he would face a fine and undergo a required "John school," which is an education program for people who try to buy sex.
The news about Snyder's arrest came just days after the 29-year-old wrestler signed a contract to compete in the new Real American Freestyle league started by WWE Hall of Famers Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff.
Snyder is one of the most decorated wrestlers in American history as a two-time Olympic medalist, a seven-time medalist at the World Championships of wrestling, and a three-time NCAA National Champion wrestling for Ohio State University.
Snyder has not addressed his arrest publicly since he was detained by police.
