Following Noche UFC this past Saturday, two fighters will be on the shelf for an extended period of time.
The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) released the medical suspensions for the 28 fighters who competed at the event at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio.
In the main event, Diego Lopes stopped Jean Silva with an incredible second-round knockout to bounce back from a title loss to Alexander Volkanovski earlier in the year. Both headliners won't be on the sidelines long, as Lopes only got an seven-day medical suspension, while Lopes received a 45-day suspension until Oct. 29.
Co-main event competitors David Martinez and Rob Font each were handed 30-day suspensions following Martinez's unanimous decision victory.
A pair of Noche UFC fighters were handed indefinite suspensions, including Sedriques Dumas who fought to a no-contest after getting kicked below the belt by Zach Reese. The other fighter to receive an indefinite suspension was Dusko Todorovic after submitting Jose Medina in the first round of the featured preliminary bout.
While the suspension lengths were made public, TDLR does not reveal the exact injuries and reasons. Fighters can be eligible to return if they receive medical clearance to do so.
