'He got clapped': Luke Rockhold gives his side to hotel altercation with Dillon Danis |

Luke Rockhold and Dillon Danis had a bit of a confrontation prior to the Misfits Boxing 22 weigh-ins on Friday, and now, Rockhold is giving his side of the story.

Rockhold competed in the main event of the card on Saturday, where he was brutally knocked out by Darren Till at AO Arena in Manchester, England. Danis also competed on the card in the first ever Misfits MMA bout, where he picked up a 15 second submission of Warren Spencer.

While details of the Rockhold-Danis incident are scarce, Rockhold shared his side to one of the promotional influencers on the Misfits Boxing YouTube channel.

"You've got professional trolls and you've got professional fighters," Rockhold said before Misfits 22. "You put them in the same space, things are going to happen. Dillon throws water bottles at my head, you talk the shit, the repercussions will have to be accepted

"He walked out of the elevator, I walked in, he f*cking talked his shit and he got clapped."

Rockhold said the moment was over, and he was turning his attention fully towards Till. Unfortunately, the former UFC and Strikeforce champion was finished in brutal fashion after suffering a series of knockdowns throughout the bout.

As far as Danis goes, Rockhold says he's happy with giving Danis a little bit of a comeuppance.

"I'm done," Rockhold said. "I got what I wanted. I got my handprint on Dillon's f*cking face. You should've heard him crying in the back. People should hear what kind of a man that is. He's not a man, he's a boy crying."
