Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!

Tonight’s NXT will be the WWE Roadblock special, and with its impressive lineup, it might as well be a premium live event. That means it’s more than worthy of a dedicated set of predictions, as some huge things are set to happen on this special episode.

My question for you today is “What do you think will happen on WWE NXT Roadblock?”

Remember to answer with your response in the comments below.

As far as my answer…

First off, let me address the big key match that is happening, which is the title-for-title situation between Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer. I do not have any rational thought in my mind for why WWE is doing this match, especially right now, unless there is some kind of issue that is going to prevent one of them from being around.

By that, I mean either the rumors are true that Giulia is injured, or either she or Vaquer has run into some visa issues and are going to have to sit out a while, and this is WWE’s way of taking the title off whoever it is without having them relinquish their championship for no reason. If none of that is the case, and they just wanted to beat one of them and rush their title run to a quick conclusion, I think that’s a massive mistake, particularly after dawdling so long on both of them winning titles in the first place.

My gut tells me Vaquer is sticking around and Giulia is taking time off, but I also wonder how Jordynne Grace is going to factor into all of this for Stand & Deliver. I can’t imagine someone is winning both of these titles and then dropping one to Grace at that event in just a few weeks. I suspect Vaquer wins the women’s title, vacates the North American, and that title is put on the line in a multi-woman match featuring Kelani Jordan, Jaida Parker, Lola Vice, Karmen Petrovic, etc.

With that being said, it’s much easier to predict that The Hardy Boyz will retain the TNA tag titles and Oba Femi will retain the NXT Championship. That way, not only do no titles change hands, but a WWE star gets a win and TNA gets a win, too.

I’d bank on Je’Von Evans winning the street fight. That’s the proper way to end that feud. If Ethan Page wins, it just makes Evans look like a punk.

Back around to Grace, she needs to beat Roxanne Perez. She failed to do so before, nothing is on the line now, and this should be Perez’s swan song in NXT before moving up to the main roster.

I also expect to see something more between Shawn Spears and Ricky Saints to already set them up for a match for the North American title at Stand & Deliver, but WWE could very well wait until next week to do that and still want to hang around with the lingering Spears vs. The Family feud for now.

That quartet of “not Retribution, but basically Retribution” attackers didn’t do anything last week. If they don’t do anything this week, too, that could be a sign that story is dead in the water. I’m hoping if they do pop up, they’re given a name and a purpose, as it just sucks right now with this lame duck mystery angle.

What do you think? Drop your thoughts below!
