In terms of growth and revenue, 2024 has been a landmark year for WWE. The company has signed many talents to its roster but also faced challenges in retaining others.

Becky Lynch stepped away from WWE for an indefinite hiatus without any intention of joining another wrestling company despite being a top Superstar for several years. Her husband, Seth Rollins, continues to work for WWE. Meanwhile, Ricochet left the promotion to join AEW.

WWE has successfully renewed contracts with Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, Asuka, Natalya, Humberto Carrillo, Angel Garza, and, most recently, Sheamus. The company will also need to negotiate a new deal with Kevin Owens, as his contract expires in a few months.

Sheamus, who has been associated with WWE since 2009, signed a new deal earlier this week that will span five years until autumn 2029.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that WWE has initiated negotiations for at least fifteen new contracts for Superstars whose current deals expire in the coming months.

While Owens’ future remains uncertain due to potential interest from AEW, WWE is leaving no stone unturned in renegotiating new deals with its creamy layer, including Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, and Nia Jax.
