Report – WWE SmackDown Undergoing Major Overhaul
13/09/2024 19:38
WWE Friday Night SmackDown will undergo several production changes as it moves from FOX to the USA Network starting tonight.
According to a report from Fightful Select, WWE SmackDown will soon have a new theme song, set to replace the Def Rebel (featuring Supreme Madness) theme.
The word internally is that the new music will be from a “legit artist,” but no further details have been revealed.
In addition, WWE will change the show’s ending. SmackDown will no longer need to end two minutes early to accommodate local news broadcasts on FOX, giving WWE more flexibility.
The USA Network is generally more accommodating with NXT, while RAW has yet to be able to have overruns in recent years.
WrestleVotes also shared a potential new logo for SmackDown, but this has yet to be confirmed, although the show is expected to have a new logo regardless.
You can check out the new SmackDown logo below:
Attached is potentially the new SmackDown logo, which was sent over anonymously and not denied by another source within the company.
It's unclear whether the logo will debut tonight or sometime in the fall/winter, amidst other changes coming to WWE TV. pic.twitter.com/BZXyPaBl7C
