Paul Heyman On His Success, Trish Stratus Addresses The State Of WWE Women's Division

In a recent interview with “Jazzy's World TV,” WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman discussed the key to his success in the pro wrestling industry.

Heyman attributed his success to the advice given to him by his mother during his childhood.

He said, "I think I'm successful because I never really wanted a real job in my life. I have successfully avoided having a real job for the entire width of my existence. It was probably from my mother saying, 'You're a schmuck, nobody is going to like you. Do what you want to do with your life anyway."

While speaking at Comic-Con Northern Ireland 2024, Trish Stratus shared her thoughts on the current state of the WWE women's division.

The WWE Hall of Famer believes that WWE could enhance the division by prioritizing the development of characters.

Stratus said, "I think I would like to have a little bit more focus on characters. I feel like for sure now, there's way more opportunities for women, obviously. We see them main eventing all the time, we see them in high-profile matches, but I think what we had back in the day was a lot of more character stuff, and you got to know these characters, the fans could really resonate with the character a little bit more. Now, they're just having these great matches, but there's no backstory as much as there was back in the day, so I think character development would be one thing I'd like to focus on."
