WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry recently signed a WWE Legends Deal, ensuring him future WWE merchandise and potential appearances.
In a recent interview with “Ghost Bandit,” Henry discussed the deal and why he opted to ink a contract with the promotion. He said,
“What I'm doing with a nostalgia deal is WWE has relationships with Mattel and 2K, where they make the video games… That's what that WWE deal entails. The right to use my name and likeness because I own it. They can't use that without my permission because then they would be liable and I would sue them for monies for using what's mine.”
Henry parted ways with AEW in 2024, three years after debuting for the company. He has since made on-screen appearances for WWE.
Henry’s son Jacob has since signed a Next-In-Line (NIL) deal with WWE, a move that influenced Mark’s choice to ink a new contract. He said,
"I'm happy to do it because I have a son that is going to be wrestling, maybe my daughter now… I wanted to open the door and create another relationship so they could go in there and do well."
Henry’s daughter Joanna has yet to ink a deal with WWE but has been making waves in her high school state wrestling championships.
