Kevin Owens Asked WWE Hall Of Famers To Tag With Him, Sami Zayn Thanks The Briscoes

Sami Zayn attributed his success to The Briscoes, acknowledging that he owes a lot to Jay and Mark Briscoe.
On Sunday, Zayn took to Twitter to highlight a video recapping The Briscoes’ Ladder War against Zayn and Kevin Owens in ROH.
Zayn wrote, "The Briscoes are the best tag team of the past 25 years, and on a short list for best of all time. At least a dozen top wrestlers today will tell you the best/toughest tag matches of their careers were with Dem Boys. I wouldn't be here without them. I miss you Jay. Love you Mark."
Jay Briscoe died in a car crash in Laurel, Delaware, on January 17, 2023, at the age of 38.

This past Friday on WWE SmackDown, Kevin Owens brought out indie talent Ricky Gibson as his tag team partner since Randy Orton was delayed due to travel problems.
However, Owens was quickly informed that Orton had arrived at the arena, and he promptly hit a stunner on Ricky.
Once Orton arrived, he and Owens emerged victorious against A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory and Grayson Waller) in their tag team match.
WWE posted a video on Instagram, showing Owens explaining the matter to Orton backstage.
Owens stated that he first asked Booker T to be his tag team partner, but the WWE Hall of Famer was still upset with him for talking trash about Texas a couple of years ago.
The Prizefighter said, "Then I asked RVD [Rob Van Dam]! And he said, 'Sorry, I'm already on another planet,' which, I didn't know what he meant because he was standing right in front of me." Orton answered that he knew what RVD meant.
Ricky overheard Owens and stepped up to be his partner before the events on the live USA Network broadcast unfolded.
Later on, Ricky appeared in the clip, and Orton and Owens expressed their gratitude to him for stepping up to the challenge.
Ricky asked Owens whether he had to use the Stunner on him. Owens apologized and expressed his appreciation for his willingness to step up.
Owens then inquired whether Ricky could join them on Orton's private tour bus. The Viper then mentioned that the other planet that RVD is on is actually his bus.
Ricky is one half of the Midnight Heat and performs on the independent circuit with his partner, Eddie Pearl. He has appeared before for AEW.
