Cary Silkin – 'I Don't Care How Much Money Tony Khan Has, ROH Is Not Being Treated Very Well!'

Tony Khan acquired Ring of Honor in 2022, leading to speculation among fans about what this meant for the promotion. Over the last two years, Khan has spearheaded several ROH pay-per-view events and launched a weekly television series on HonorClub.

Khan previously stressed his commitment to developing talent within ROH, a sharp contrast to WWE’s approach to managing WCW talent in the past. The AEW President has also shown a firm dedication to bringing innovation and originality to the ROH brand.

During a recent appearance on the “John Arezzi’s Mat Memories” podcast, former ROH owner Cary Silkin heavily criticized the company’s current situation and expressed worries about how Khan has treated the ROH brand recently.

Silkin said, "Ring of Honor of that era tried to show some respect to professional wrestling. Sure we had some wacky stuff. Sure we had the the flippy dippy do was coming into fashion. The flippy dippy do was going on with Édouard Carpentier too…Ring of Honor, there was some good pro wrestling going on in that segment of it. Right now, Ring of Honor it's like no one cares at all. I don't care how much money Tony Khan has. It's not being treated very well."

It should be noted that several ROH wrestlers have been frustrated with Khan’s management of the promotion since taking over from Silkin.
