Andrade Beats Carmelo Hayes To Earn United States Title Match For Next Week's WWE SmackDown
09/13/2024 09:01 PM
The Best of V Series between Andrade and Carmelo Hayes has seemingly come to a close (unless WWE decides to keep adding more matches, as this started as just a one-time singles bout) with El Idolo coming out on top, putting down HIM with a pinfall to go up 3-2 on their match tonight on WWE SmackDown’s season premiere on USA Network.
Following the match, United States champion LA Knight came out to cut a promo, informing Andrade that by proxy of his victory, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis has granted him a title shot for next week.
Knight naturally said he would be retaining his title, so what Andrade really won was the “hit it and quit it sweepstakes.”
YEAH!

Who do you think will walk out of the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California with the US title next week? Is it Andrade’s time to shine and become a double champ to go with his WWE Speed Championship, or will everybody be saying LA Knight?
