It appears WWE will be doing a gimmick match that hasn't been seen on their television since 2017.

On today's episode of SmackDown Lowdown, WWE aired a segment where Vickie Guerrero interrupted Chelsea Green during an interview. Guerrero complimented her on using a trash can on Michin after working a match with Piper Niven on SmackDown.

Guerrero suggested that Green and Michin should face each other in a dumpster match. However, Green scoffed at the idea as she didn't belong there. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis thought it was a great idea. There was no official announcement of when the match would be, although it could be confirmed for next week's show.

According to CageMatch.net, WWE has only held dumpster matches on a few occasions, including at WrestleMania 14 when Cactus Jack & Chainsaw Charlie defeated The New Age Outlaws (Billy Gunn & The Road Dogg) to win the Tag Team Titles. Two years later at the King of the Ring event, Road Dogg, Tori & X-Pac defeated The Dudley Boyz in a three-on-two dumpster match.

Finally, the last dumpster match in WWE was on the April 24th episode of Raw in 2017,, when Kalisto went over Braun Strowman.
