More Backstage News On Ronda Rousey in ROH; Working On Handshake Deal

-- The big news yesterday was Ronda Rousey's surprise appearance at the ROH tapings, teaming up with her best friend Marina Shafir to take on Athena and Billie Starkz. As reported before, the four of them wrestled at a REVOLVER show on Thursday and then ran back the same match for ROH. With Tony Khan owning both ROH and AEW, speculation has naturally turned to whether Rousey could possibly be appearing on AEW TV in the future.

-- A report from reports that Rousey and Khan are on a handshake deal and she has not signed with ROH, let alone to appear on AEW. The hope is that her appearance could generate some subscriptions for ROH and from Rousey's perspective, her main reason for agreeing to do this is because she wanted to work with Shafir just as she teamed with another good friend, Shayna Baszler, in WWE prior to her departure. For what it's worth, Rousey was never considered for the mystery signing that is set to be revealed tonight at AEW Full Gear.
