Latest Plans & Ideas For Run-Time Of WWE Raw Once It's On NetflixJeff WhalenSep 14, 2024 - 4:01 am

-- WWE Raw undergoes a significant change beginning next month when it goes from a three-hour show to one that is two hours while still airing on the USA Network. That change will last through December and into January until the show moves to Netflix where the length of the show is reportedly going to be fluid and assessed on a week-by-week basis.

-- In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was noted that a normal Raw that fits a three-hour time slot is actually 132 minutes so it's possible to fit the same content into a 2.5 hour block and have less commercial time. While some wondered if Raw would be commercial-free on Netflix, that is not the case and there will certainly still be breaks where commercials will air. One of the reasons Netflix picked up Raw is because they are wanting to add commercials to some of their programming and when it comes to Raw and its audience, people are already used to that.

-- With Netflix not being a traditional TV station, they are able to adjust a lot differently including when and how the breaks are while also having flexibility to end a show whenever they need it as they don't have to be off the air at a specific time due to another show airing right after. The Observer also noted that the idea is the length of Raw will change and make the show - and in the case of the main event, its finish - less predictable as the audience won't know exactly when Raw will end in any given week.
