One of the most shocking endings to a Premium Live Event took place last weekend at the Elimination Chamber PLE. 16-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion (and arguably the biggest babyface in professional wrestling history, John Cena) shocked the world as he turned heel by attacking Cody Rhodes. Cena has aligned with The Final Boss, The Rock.

Recently, Cena’s father John Cena Sr. was asked about why his son sold his soul to The Great One. Bill Apter got on a phone call with John Cena Sr. as part of the After Chat series on Sportskeeda Wrestle Binge. During the phone call, Apter asked Cena Sr. about why his son turned heel.

John Cena Sr. replied that he is tired of people constantly calling him and asking him the same question. He told Apter to go ask his son the same question or just let Cena tell everyone himself.

John Cena Sr. is tired of all the questions about his son’s actions

"You know Bill, you're a real good friend. We go back a long way. Will you please stop? I'm tired of guys like you. I'm tired of the other phone calls I am getting. I don't know why he did what he did. You are going to have to get that from him. I am so tired of this. Why don't we just let it play out and find out what's happening? A reporter is a reporter. But listen Bill Apter, friend, enough's enough. And thanks… Mr. Bill Apter, I wouldn't say what Cody Rhodes said to you. But do you know what I will say? Have a nice day and thanks for nothing," John Cena Sr. said.

The WWE Universe and the entire wrestling world has had something to say about John Cena turning heel. The WWE roster had a mixed response to what happened at Elimination Chamber, while Logan Paul claims he predicted it happening. Cena’s heel turn even bled over into politics, as The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart used it to explain the feud between Donald Trump and Ukraine President Zelenskyy.

Despite everyone else having an opinion on it, John Cena still has not explained his actions. It’s unknown when that will happen, but Cena is currently advertised for multiple episodes of SmackDown, as well as a newly-announced Saturday Night’s Main Event taping in May.
