If He Can Do It: Matt Riddle Talks Potential WWE Return, Believes Door Is "Always Open"

One more time? There have been all kinds of stars throughout WWE’s history and not all of them have left the company under the best circumstances. Even if that is the case, it does not mean that the relationship cannot be salvaged later on. Sometimes those wrestlers will return to WWE later on and now one former WWE Superstar is talking about a potential return to the company.

Former WWE Superstar Matt Riddle was interviewed by The Takedown and spoke about a potential return to the company. Riddle said that he believed the chances of his returning are “extremely high”, citing CM Punk filing a lawsuit against WWE but ultimately returning. Riddle went on to say that he knew he was difficult to work with but that he thought the door was “always open”. This comes around one year since Riddle was released from WWE in September 2023.

Opinion: While it might seem out of the realm of possibility at the moment, at the end of the day, WWE is going to do what is best for business. If that includes bringing Riddle back into the fold, it very well may happen. Riddle is a talented star and the fans respond to him, so having him return to the company is not out of the realm of possibility. It might take some time, but Riddle is right that stranger things have happened.
