Former WWE Star Nikki Bella Files For Divorce Following Domestic Abuse Incident

-- WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella is ending her marriage. TMZ reports that the former wrestler has filed to divorce her husband Artem Chigvintsev only weeks after he was arrested for domestic violence against her. The couple has been married for two years.

-- Chigvintsev was arrested on August 29 and charged with felony corporal injury to spouse or cohabitant for allegedly attacking Nikki, resulting in a visible injury that led to his arrest. Artem initially called 911 requesting medical assistance but once officers arrived they realized it was a domestic dispute. Nikki began looking for a divorce lawyer the very next day and TMZ reports she has retained Evan Craig Itzkowitz. She was then spotted in public without her wedding ring, further fueling the divorce rumors.
