Farewell: Another Big Name Leaves WWE Amid UFC Merger

So it continues. The biggest wrestling story of the year saw Endeavor complete its purchase of WWE, marking the first time that someone other than the McMahon Family owned the company. This has led to a variety of changes throughout the company, with several people either leaving or being let go. Now we are seeing another situation of the same kind, as one more big name is leaving.

According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, WWE Executive Vice President of Human Resources Suzette Ramirez-Carr will be leaving the company on November 3. This was announced to the rest of the staff by WWE President Nick Khan. Suzette-Carr reported directly to Vince McMahon before the Endeavor takeover. Thurston believes that this is due to Endeavor already having its own human resources department and not needing WWE’s version.

Opinion: This is another non-surprise as there are only so many needs for executives when Endeavor already has its own team in place. At the end of the day, it makes sense to have a lot of people leaving, even if that doesn’t do any good for them. It is sad to see people losing their jobs and hopefully they are able to find somewhere else to go, as it is easier said than done.
