Cody Rhodes addressed John Cena‘s actions at WWE Elimination Chamber on the March 7th episode of WWE SmackDown.

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes appeared on Friday’s show. This marked his first appearance since John Cena turned heel and attacked him at WWE Elimination Chamber. Rhodes walked to the ring, and his eye was in visibly rough shape after Travis Scott slapped him at WWE Elimination Chamber. “The American Nightmare noted that his daughter asked him what happened to her face, and he told her that he ran into a wall.

Cody Rhodes noted that this wasn’t entirely a lie, as he had run into a wall constructed by The Rock, Travis Scott, and John Cena. Rhodes looked back on how he used to drive around with Cena, and Cena was a hero to him. He then said that someday he would tell his daughter the truth, and that was that a great man who did great things had given up.

Rhodes went on to say that he wanted to know why Cena did it. He stated that Cena would likely explain himself, and he would feel justified. However, he said that there was no justification for Cena. The champion then pivoted to the fans’ support as he looked back on his title win at WWE WrestleMania 40. He pointed out how Cena celebrated with him and told him that the title got heavier every day.

Cody Rhodes ended his message by saying that Cena was the last of his kind, but he wasn’t. He then said that Cena clearly wanted some, so he could come get some.
