CM Punk To Be Guest Referee For NXT Title Match On 10/1 WWE NXT

CM Punk‘s role on the October 1 episode of WWE NXT has been revealed.

As previously announced, Punk will appear on the October 1 episode of NXT in Chicago, which will mark the show’s CW Network premiere. However, his role on the show had been unclear.

Punk appeared on the September 17 episode and noted that he had an idea for his role, but Roxanne Perez interrupted him. Later in the show, NXT Champion Ethan Page and Trick Williams signed the contract for their title match on the October 1 episode of NXT.

CM Punk then came out and revealed that the match was so big that it needed a special referee, and he was just the man to do it. He encouraged Page and Williams to fight, and they brawled. Officials struggled to separate them as NXT came to an end.
