CM Punk On Potential AJ Lee Return: This Is A Brave New World, It's All On Her

CM Punk says AJ Lee is busy doing her own thing, but as a fan, he would love to see her return to WWE.

Ahead of WWE Money in the Bank, fans buzzed about the possibility of seeing AJ Lee return and cost Drew McIntyre the Men’s Money in the Bank match, as McIntyre had been feuding with Punk for months. At the premium live event, Punk interfered and cost McIntyre, but Lee did not appear. Still, many fans hope to see her in a WWE ring again someday.

Speaking at the WWE Money in the Bank Post-Show, CM Punk was asked to comment on whether AJ Lee would ever return.

"Hmmm…I appreciate the question,” CM Punk said. “You would have to ask my wife, but she's not here. She's taking care of Larry. I don't want to fall in the trap of saying, 'Never say never.' I don't want to give people false hope, I also will not put words in her mouth and say, 'I think this could happen.' I think this is a brave new world. And I don't think a lot of people thought I was gonna show up. It's really all on her.”

CM Punk On AJ Lee’s Projects

CM Punk continued by highlighting how AJ Lee has a lot of irons in the fire, as she is working on various projects. He then stated that, as a fan, he would love to see her come back.

“She's busy, I'm super proud of her, she's doing her own thing,” CM Punk said. “She's got a production company started up, she's writing TV, movies, all kinds of stuff. Laughably, I always say I'm a bad husband because I never know what project she's talking about. She's got so many irons in so many different fires. I will say, as a fan of hers, would love to see it.”
