Does bottom paint even make sense?

So the divers have pretty much put an end to my bottom paint. When I last hauled 1.5 years ago I had 5-gal applied to my 41′ boat. There was plenty of that paint still on the hull 5 months since the divers didn’t say anything I didn’t plan for needing a haul/painting and now an on the wait list in case someone cancels the next 2 months before scheduled to leave here.
In the meantime I started adding up the cost of getting the bottom job done verse just cleaning. It works out that…
