UFC 322: Surging knockout artist returns on Jack Della Maddalena vs. Islam Makhachev fight card

Malcolm Wellmaker is heading to "The World's Most Famous Arena."
Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion's plans confirmed to MMA Fighting that a bantamweight matchup between Wellmaker and Serhiy Sidey has been added to UFC 322, which takes place Nov. 15 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
EuroSport was first to report the matchup.
Wellmaker makes his third octagon appearance of 2025 as he looks to make it 3-0 as a UFC fighter. The 31-year-old earned back-to-back Performance of the Night bonuses with first-round knockouts of Cameron Saaiman and, most recently at UFC Atlanta in June, Kris Moutinho. Wellmaker is 10-0 as a pro fighter.
Sidey (12-2) enters the contest on a two-fight win streak. After losing his UFC debut to Ramon Taveras — the man he beat on the Contender Series to earn a contract in September 2023 — Sidey earned a pair of a decision victories against Garrett Armfield and Cameron Smotherman.
UFC 322 is headlined by a welterweight title fight between Jack Della Maddalena and former lightweight champ Islam Makhachev, while Valentina Shevchenko defends her flyweight title against recent strawweight champion Zhang Weili in the co-main event.
