Joe Rogan is returning to his regular seat on the broadcast team for the upcoming UFC 316 broadcast on Saturday from the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
The veteran podcaster and longtime color commentator sat out UFC 315 when the promotion traveled to Canada but Rogan is back alongside play-by-play man Jon Anik and UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier calling the fights.
UFC officials confirmed the broadcast plans to MMA Fighting on Monday.
With the usual three man team in place calling the fights on Saturday, the rest of the broadcast team includes boxing legend Teddy Atlas serving as one of the lead analysts for the fights. Atlas is joined by recently retired UFC veteran Anthony Smith and Chael Sonnen provding analysis for the fights.
Karyn Bryant handles reporting duties from inside the arena while Din Thomas serves as coach during the broadcast to provide insight and analysis during the fights.
UFC 316 is headlined by a pair of bantamweight title fights with Merab Dvalishvili putting his belt up for grabs for the second time when he faces the man he beat to win the title in Sean O'Malley. The fight serves as O'Malley's first appearance since falling to Dvalishvili this past September.
In the co-main event, Julianna Pena makes the first defense of her women's bantamweight title when she faces two-time Olympic gold medalist Kayla Harrison, who comes into the fight with a 2-0 record in the UFC including a dominant victory over former champion Holly Holm at UFC 300.
