DBX 3 video: Bryan Battle destroys overmatched opponent with 56 second knockout

Bryan Battle's first fight since his UFC release is in the books, and
Battle faced Derik de Freitas in the middleweight featured bout at DBX 3 on Friday Night at The Hangar at Regatta Harbour in Miami.
The 30-year-old Battle elected not to touch gloves with his opponent, and both fighters threw big shots at one another. Once Battle landed his first punch, de Freitas fell right to the canvas, and despite it being in a stalemate position, de Freitas clearly wanted out. However, he continued on, Battle dropped him again, and de Freitas refused to continue on and the fight was waved off in just 56 seconds.
Check out the finish below.
Dirty Boxing promoter Mike Perry was not happy with de Freitas quitting in the fight as he said on the broadcast, but was obviously thrilled to see the headline-stealing Battle getting his first victory with the Dirty Boxing promotion.
Battle was slated to compete at UFC 319 a couple of weeks ago in Chicago against Nursulton Ruziboev, but he missed weight by four pounds, leading to the fight being cancelled, and a subsequent release from the UFC. "The Butcher" missed weight three times during his UFC run, where he left with a 7-1 promotional record.
