Charles Oliveira is the 2025 Forrest Griffin Community Award winner.
Given out annually as part of the International Fight Week honors, the Forrest Griffin Community Award is personally selected by UFC CEO Dana White and recognizes fighters for their charitable efforts. During Saturday's UFC Kansas City event, Oliveira was announced as this year's recipient for his work with the Charles doBronxs Institute, which provides hundreds of local youth with the opportunity for a better future through free arts, education, nutrition, and jiu-jitsu.
Oliveira will officially receive his award at the 2025 UFC Hall of Fame ceremony in June.
"Charles is not only a great athlete, but he's also an amazing role model who enjoys giving back to the community," White said of Oliveira. "Charles does a great job of helping local youth in Sao Paulo by providing them with free education and jiu-jitsu training at his institute, and he's directly helping them create a better life for themselves in the process. It's an honor to present him with his award."
The former UFC lightweight champion will also receive a $25,000 donation to the charity of his choice, which is provided by the UFC Foundation.
Oliveira is waiting on his next octagon assignment as he's coming off of a dominant decision win over Michael Chandler at UFC 309 in November,
