Conor McGregor has had the gauntlet laid out for a bare knuckle grudge fight that has been brewing since 2016.

The Irishman infamously made Jeremy Stephens a meme at the pre-fight press conference for UFC 205 when he interrupted his tirade with a simple but ingenius line. As Stephens took aim at his rival, McGregor had the crowd in hysterics when he asked ‘who the f*** is that guy?’

Their careers have gone in different directions ever since, but with the legendary two-weight world champion buying into BKFC the fight seems closer than ever. And after winning last night by unanimous decision against Bobby Taylor, Stephens reiterated his calls for the pair to settle their feud.

Prior to last night’s BKFC event, Conor McGregor put on his promoter cap as he took to social media to push the show in Salt Lake City, Utah. The event was headlined by Christine Ferea against Jade Masson-Wong, with Stephens in the co-feature.

In an Instagram post, McGregor showed off his own bare-knuckle boxing as he punched at the heavy bag without any gloves. The caption saw him share his thoughts on the show, particularly the bout featuring Stephens whom he referred to with an old nickname.

“In our co-main event also we have 'who the f*** is that guy' facing off again against Bobby Taylor," McGregor wrote after gushing about the main event.

And he appeared interested in the potential of the pair finally meeting within the squared circle, adding: "Me and ‘who the f***’ is an exciting bare knuckle fight down the line 100 percent. Good luck to all our combatants! EXCITED!"

Following an impressive five-round win where he dropped his rival late on, Stephens made his feelings very clear. He donned a t-shirt that read “You know damn well who the f*** I am,” and gave an explosive post-fight interview.

"Utah, you guys are some great f***ing fans, man,” he told a raucous crowd in Salt Lake City. “Hey, David Feldman [BKFC founder and CEO] said this is gonna be a staple here, I would love to continue fighting here.”

When it comes to McGregor, he had an expletive-ridden message for him as well, adding: “And f*** Conor McGregor! Who wouldn't love to beat up their f***ing boss, baby. I'm living the dream!"

McGregor shared footage of Stephen’s knockdown to his Instagram story, with the caption “YES” along with a fire emoji. And he later added a photo of Stephen’s top with a simple emoji showing interest in the potential.
